Hi, I’m ALLEN BUSH.

I’m on a mission to bring some color and light into the world through song.

I’ve been at it a long time, starting out at the University of Oregon in the late ‘80s with the formation of The Strangers — a band I would spend 10 years evolving with. We toured the country hard.

We shared bills and sometimes buses with the likes of Widespread Panic, Leftover Salmon, Colonel Bruce Hampton & the Aquarium Rescue Unit, The Mother Hips, Little Women (Jerry Joseph), and our blood brothers of the road, The Renegade Saints and Jambay, with whom we helped carve out the Northwest jam band scene it its blossoming days.

After those heavy touring years of the ‘90s, I took a break to try other things and start a family without the time constraints of the touring life. But I never put down my guitar or my pen.

I’m so grateful, elated, and energized to be focusing on music full time again. I have so much new music to give, both as a recording artist and a performer. While my main focus is on the former, watch for The Allen Bush Project to roll into a town near you.

I trust you’ll reach out to me to let me know how you like the tunes and request a show in your town.
